On July 13-15, 2022 Joe Biden will make his first visit to Israel as President of the United States. While he is there he will obviously meet with the Israeli leaders, but he's doing something else that is unprecedented as well. Biden will reportedly meet with Mahmoud Abbas who is the President of the Palestinian Authority and he will meet with them in the Palestinian area of control.  No sitting U.S. President has ever traveled to Palestine.  Now the meeting will be in Bethlehem, instead of Ramallah, the Palestinian Authority's seat of power, but still, what might Biden hope to accomplish? The easy guess is Biden will do something foolish, just like he normally does, but could it be worse than that?

In March 2022, Biden made the following comment to then Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett,

The US stands firmly and resolutely with Israel in the face of the terror threat

So in his first visit to Israel Biden includes in his itinerary a meeting with Abbas. Seems strange if not outright insulting to the Israelis whom Biden claims are important to the U.S.  Remember, Abbas is firmly committed to continuing the Palestinian "pay-to-slay" plan where the Palestine Authority pays money to convicted terrorists and their families (if they are martyred) for killing Israelis. So, what is Biden's goal?  At best I would say it is unclear prior to the trip. However, what is clear is that the Biden administration is fully behind the two-state solution to resolve the Israel / Palestine conflict. My more specific guess about what Biden will do is he will push for the formation of the independent Palestinian state to happen within a near-term, totally unrealistic timeline. That's just a guess based on Biden's ability to make a mess out of everything.

How could the division of Israel mean the destruction of the USA? And if the US is destroyed, does that mean it's all Biden's fault?

Hold your thoughts on the destruction of the USA, for a moment. Although Biden would be to easy blame for this fiasco should it occur, in truth Biden is just the latest pawn in this neverending struggle. Every US president in recent history has had a plan to bring peace to the Israeli/Palestinian conflict. As you will remember, President Trump was headed toward the two-state solution to resolve the conflict as well, with the "Abraham Accords". While the Abraham Accords were ultimately signed on September 15, 2020, the outline for the plan was presented by President Trump during a White House reception on January 28, 2020.  The details of the vision are captured in this factsheet.  The vision explicitly called for an eventual Palestinian state as described in this excerpt from the factsheet.

MUTUAL RECOGNITION AND INDEPENDENCE: This Vision proposes a realistic two-state solution, offering a viable path to Palestinian statehood.

  • Israel has now agreed to terms for a future Palestinian State.
  • The Vision aims to achieve mutual recognition of the State of Israel as the nation-state of the Jewish people and the future State of Palestine as the nation-state of the Palestinian people, with equal civil rights for all citizens within each state.
  • The Vision creates a path for the Palestinian people to realize their legitimate aspirations for independence, self-governance, and national dignity.
  • Under this Vision, neither Palestinians nor Israelis will be uprooted from their homes.

Regardless of whether you love, hate, or don't care about President Trump, most honest people would agree that he is an excellent negotiator.  What Trump knew from his study of the history between Israel and the Palestinians is that the Palestinians have never negotiated in good faith. Various Palestinian leaders have rejected land for peace deals as many as 7 different times in the last 100 years. The reason these plans were rejected is simple. Peace was never the goal of the Palestinians. At least since the founding of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) in 1964, its founding manifesto stated that they were formed "to attain the objective of liquidating Israel." The same articled link above where Abbas reiterated his support of pay-for-slay, includes this statement from Hamas,

The Gaza-ruling Hamas terror group also released a statement on the occasion of the Nakba,  emphasizing that there is “no legitimacy or sovereignty” for Israel “over one inch of the land of historic Palestine.” The Gaza-ruling Hamas terror group also released a statement on the occasion of the Nakba,  emphasizing that there is “no legitimacy or sovereignty” for Israel “over one inch of the land of historic Palestine.”

“Our people will remain committed to Jerusalem, the eternal capital of Palestine, from the [Jordan] river to the [Mediterranean] sea,” the statement read.

Also, it is important to remember that whatever nice words the Palestinian leadership might say when quoted in English, when quoted in Arabic their statements typically call for the destruction of Israel. They literally want to drive the Jewish people into the sea and kill them. Those are their words, not mine.

What President Trump did was propose an agreement that did the proverbial end-run around the Palestinians. Instead of starting the Middle East peace process with Israel and Palestine and expanding from there, Trump did the opposite. He started negotiating agreements with all the other countries first and then he planned to come back to Palestine when everyone else is on board.  That's the difference between all the previous peace plans and the Abraham Accords.  And it's also the reason why this plan was brilliant and it likely would have succeeded.  Biden decided to discard or at least temporarily redirect the Abraham Accords progress made by Trump, to travel the same well-worn, failed path traveled by so many others.  Ultimately, however, it doesn't matter which path is used to secure peace and safety in the Middle East.

For President Trump, President Biden, or any other world leader, the two-state land for peace solution has one major flaw.  God has a different plan.

12 Now the Lord said to Abram, “Go from your country and your kindred and your father's house to the land that I will show you. 2 And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great so that you will be a blessing. 3 I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and in you, all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”  Genesis 12:1-3 ESV

I will gather all the nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. And I will enter into judgment with them there, on behalf of my people and my heritage Israel, because they have scattered them among the nations and have divided up my land,  Joel 3:2 ESV

On that day I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples. All who lift it will surely hurt themselves. And all the nations of the earth will gather against it. Zechariah 12:3 ESV

And on that day I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. Zechariah 12:9 ESV

In short, God does not want Israel to be divided and he will curse and judge those who do so.  How do we know?  There are plenty of examples, but let's start with this one.  Within hours of the Vision for Peace announcement on January 28, 2020, a magnitude 7.7 earthquake occurred in the Caribbean just south of Cuba.  While you might say, "So what?", consider this quote from the Click Orlando website:

2020 01 28 earthquake

University of Central Florida Associate Professor and Coastal Geologist Joseph Donoghue said that Tuesday's earthquake was one of the strongest on record to hit the Cayman Island Region. University of Central Florida Associate Professor and Coastal Geologist Joseph Donoghue said that Tuesday's earthquake was one of the strongest on record to hit the Cayman Island Region.

"A 7.7 is pretty, pretty unusual. So, we haven't had one of that magnitude until, since 1787," said Donoghue.

Interesting side note, the U.S. Constitution was drafted in 1787 and ratified in 1788.  So the earthquake was larger in that geography than any since the pre-Constitutional U.S was still under the failed Articles of Confederation.  And then consider this as well.  The earthquake was so strong that it was felt in Florida, including at the Mar-a-Lago residence of the now former President, Donald Trump.  For reference, Mar-a-Lago is located on the water between West Palm Beach and Boca Raton.

If you are still skeptical that the announcement and the earthquake are related, and I don't blame you if you are, I would encourage you to check out the book Eye to Eye: Facing the Consequences of Dividing Israel by William Koening. In the book, the author lists decades of disasters that occurred immediately after major policy attempts were made by the U.S. to create peace in Israel by dividing the land.  For example, do you know what was going on right before September 11, 2001?  I didn't until I read the book.  Here's an excerpt from the book.

According to The Washington Post, for 17 days prior to the 9-11 terror events, President Bush—with the encouragement and involvement of Secretary Powell and U.S. Ambassador to Israel Daniel Kurtzer, and in cooperation with the Saudis—was working on the most comprehensive plan and message ever to be offered about Israel’s covenant land by an American president. Bush and his top officials had completed a majority of their work on September 10. Secretary Powell was to present the plan to the United Nations General Assembly on September 24, 2001.

Saudi Arabia’s Prince Bandar bin Sultan, who had been active in the negotiations, stated he went from being “the happiest man in the world” on Monday night, September 10, to experiencing the worst crisis of his career on September 11. Dreams of a new Middle East peace initiative evaporated. The realization that most of the hijackers were Saudis “fell on me . . . like the whole house collapsed over my head,” Bandar said later. He couldn’t imagine a way to “do more damage or worse damage to Islam or to Saudi Arabia.” The U.S. war on terror was birthed on September 11, 2001, at the very same time President Bush and his administration were completing a comprehensive plan for Israel. What has happened since then speaks volumes. The education president has now become the war president.

Coincidence?  After reading the rest of William Koening's book I would have to say no.  God has warned the U.S. time and again that He does not want Israel divided.

What happened in the U.S. (and the world) after the January 28, 2020 announcement?

  • January 20, 2020 - World Health Organization announces the COVID-19 global health emergency
  • January 31, 2020 - President Trump bans travel from China to the U.S.
  • March 11, 2020 - U.S. implements a "15 days to slow the spread" lockdown that is still in effect in many places.
  • April 2020 - U.S. Center for Disease Control and National Institue of Health rejects Ivermectin and Hydroxycloriquine as early treatment options for COVID-19, dramatically extending the pandemic
  • April - September 2020 - massive layoffs and destruction of the U.S. and the world economy
  • September 15, 2020 - Abrahamic Accords are signed by the U.S., Israel, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates
  • September - October 2020 - Leftists, Democrats, and the U.S. mainstream media relentlessly hound President Trump for his "failure" to end COVID-19
  • November  2020 - Leftists, Democrats, Elites, and Media conspire to steal the U.S. Presidental election
  • November - December 2020 - U.S. Courts decline to hear 50+ legal cases challenging the results of the election.
  • January 20, 2021 - Joe Biden was sworn in as 46th U.S. President likely as a puppet for an unknown leader.
  • January - September 2021 - Biden administration systematically destroys the U.S. energy independence in favor of unreliable and not ready Green New Deal
  • 2021 - COVID-19 vaccine mandates relentlessly pushed on U.S. citizens
  • 2021 - LGBTQ+ issues, especially transgender beliefs pushed as "normal" creating a massive increase in depravity in the U.S.
  • 2021 - Blue states push to legalize abortion up till the moment of birth
  • January 2022 - OneAmerica Life Insurance of Indiana announces that all-cause-deaths (total number of deaths for any reason) rose by an astronomical 40% in 2021 for people aged 18-64. The major difference between 2020 and all previous years?  COVID-19 "vaccines" and mandates.
  • February 2022+ - Runaway inflation is worse than any time in U.S. history, creating major issues for the poor and those on fixed incomes
  • February 2022+ - Russia invades Ukraine, possibly beginning World Ward III.
  • March 2022 - Proposed California legislative bill would not only allow abortion up to the moment of birth, but it would also allow new moms to kill their baby for a week after they were born without legal repercussions.  While legally killing your newborn is called infanticide, it really is a modern-day version of a child sacrifice to Moloch or any other demon "god" of the Old Testament
  • March 2022+ - Hunter Biden's laptop evidence exposes massive corruption by Joe Biden and his family.
  • April 2022+ - Inflation and international discord threaten to eliminate the U.S. dollar as the worldwide reserve currency
  • May 2022+ - Gas prices hit historic highs day after day
  • June 2022+ - Supreme Court overturns Roe vs Wade. Leftists doing everything they can to reject and ignore the decision. Roe-related violence increasing.

I could expound on any of the bullet items above, but that's not the point of this article. My nature is to follow trends to project where things are going in life. At a micro level, trends are not necessarily an accurate predictor of the future.  However, at a macro level, they are typically far more accurate. So much energy is required to move a country in a specific direction (think peoples' beliefs and opinions ) that it is almost impossible to change that direction quickly. Changes take time. The only exception is when something catastrophic occurs.  A catastrophic event can cause a sudden change in people's beliefs and opinions, but only for a certain period of time.  When the catastrophe ends, many people return to whatever they were doing previously, especially if the individual personal impact of the catastrophe was small. Think about the 9/11 terrorist attacks in the U.S. While thousands were killed in the attacks and the wars that occurred as a result, thousands pales in comparison to the 320+ million citizens in the U.S. Most citizens, myself included, were inconvenienced, not directly impacted by the tragedy.

When I look at the bullets included above (and others I didn't include) I see the overall trends for the U.S. are bad:

TrendTopicExample
down arrow U.S. commitment to Freedom of Speech Rampant censorship of opposing views.  Facts and opinions outside the acceptable narrative are deemed "misinformation" even when backed by evidence. Even world-renown scientists and doctors are censored if their opinions do not match the approved narrative.
down arrow U.S. financial strength Massive overspending by the U.S. government has created runaway inflation. World financial markets trending toward replacing the U.S. dollar as the world financial reserve currency. Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa (BRICS) are promoting a new, world-financial reserve currency that is backed by gold. They are currently recruiting Saudi Arabia to become a member. If, Saudi Arabia joins it could be the end of the Petro Dollar that greatly benefited the US since the end of World War II.
down arrow U.S. military strength Military purges conservatives, disabling soldiers through mass vaccination, and creates more focus on gender equality and personal pronouns than military readiness. In addition, the U.S. is shipping so many weapons to Ukraine that it is depleting the stocks that would be needed to fight a major war at the same time as supply line problems and the decline of the military artillery industries are preventing the manufacturing of replacements.
down arrow U.S. leadership and influence around the world Weakness in the Biden administration is encouraging the US advisories. Russia invaded Ukraine, China seems to be building toward an invasion of Taiwan, Iran has enough nuclear material to build a bomb, and North Korea is testing ICBMs for the first time since 2017. Each of these actions would never have been considered during the previous administration
down arrow U.S. food production U.S. food production will soon be falling due to droughts, lack of labor, and now the lack of available fertilizer.  In addition, almost 100 food processing plants have burned to the ground or have been closed for various reasons in the last year.  If it were only one or two plants that burned, the loss of the food processing plants could be written off as a coincidence, but not when there are almost 100.
down arrow The overall mental health of U.S. citizens Thanks in part to the COVID-19 lockdowns, more people are suffering from depression, and suicides are increasing. That declining mental health of citizens is also manifesting itself as rage. The slightest offense can trigger someone to melt into a fit of rage that sometimes turns violent.
down arrow Overall physical health of U.S. citizens It is well known that Americans on average are overweight. Whether it is something in the processed food we eat, our increasingly fast-food lifestyle, lack of exercise, something else, or all of the above, Americans are in worse physical shape than we ever have been. Compare statistics of people from the 1960s with today.  In 2015 the average woman weighed almost the same as the average man did in the early 1960s. The trend has certainly become worse with the COVID lockdowns.
down arrow Adherence to biblically-defined sexuality Increasing push by government and corporate entities to accept LGBTQ+ lifestyles as good and healthy, including providing both encouragement and permission for male-to-female transgender athletes to compete against women in sporting events and transfer to all-female prisons. Gender is being pushed as a social construct, not a biological fact. The Biden administration is recommending irreversible "gender-affirming care" and gender reassignment medications and surgery are being pushed for children and teenagers.
down arrow Belief in the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Surveys have shown the decline in church attendance and activity in the U.S. for decades. Fewer people attend.  Fewer people know anything about Jesus and fewer still understand what Jesus did for everyone on the cross and why it matters. While there are still many Christians doing the work that Jesus calls us to do, the overall willingness to listen and accept the Good News is way down. Perhaps one of the problems is very few pastors are willing to teach on prophecy and end times.
down arrow Belief in the gift of eternal life through the resurrection of Jesus

Satan has made great inroads selling the lie that everyone goes to Heaven. Jesus was very clear in the Gospel of John.

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.  John 14:6 ESV

Everyone goes somewhere, but unfortunately, not everyone goes to Heaven.

Considering all of the above, I personally think it is fair to say that the US is currently in critical shape in terms of stability. Due to its size and global influence, it would still take something significant, dare I say dramatic, to destroy the US.  However, we are teetering on the precipice at the moment.  As you will remember, most scholars believe the US is not mentioned or referenced in the Bible. A few scholars believe that there may be an obscure reference to the US. However, it is clear that even in the best case the US plays no significant part in the Tribulation. Therefore, it is possible to infer that the US is neutered or destroyed by some country or event before the Tribulation.

More importantly, if God said:

I will gather all the nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. And I will enter into judgment with them there, on behalf of my people and my heritage Israel, because they have scattered them among the nations and have divided up my land,  Joel 3:2 ESV

then the US will come under judgment for dividing Israel. If you don't believe that He will, you only need to look at the warning shots He has already fired as documented in William Koening's book.

Therefore, the only question in my mind is this:

Will it be the division of Israel, the Rapture of the Church, or both that causes the ultimate destruction for the US?

All of which begs the most important question:

Have you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior?

If not, there's literally no time to wait. Click here to learn about the ABCs of Salvation

May the Lord be with each of you should the division happen.  God Bless and Marantha!
